Advert: Centre Stage

New company set to revolutionise band uniform production.

Centre Stage

An exciting new company, dedicated to giving brass bands the highest quality products allied to the finest quality service has been set up by Martin Gernon, a business professional with a pedigree in textiles and overseas sourcing, as well as a lifelong player and supporter of brass bands.

Highest quality

Centre Stage will provide highest quality uniforms directly to bands with a service that is second to none.

Ethos

Speaking to 4BR, Martin explained the ethos behind the business.
"As far back as I can remember I have been involved in brass bands. I am both a player and Chairman of the Fairey (Geneva) Band and as such I understand only too well the financial restraints that are faced at all levels of banding.

Uniforms are one of the biggest, but most important expenses. Prices charged by the current UK supplier base are to me, extremely high, and I feel that the time has come to use my expertise to give bands better quality and better value for money.

Its time to shake things up a little and to show bands that great looking quality uniforms can be very affordable. This is where Centre Stage makes a huge impact. We want bands to look great, without it costing the earth! Look good, play good!"

Martin has set up a specialised production facility in Hong Kong to service uniform requirements of UK and European bands, but at overseas pricing4BR

Ideal foundation

Martin’s professional background has given him the ideal foundation to launch his exciting venture. "My business background is in textiles and textile production, particularly from the Far East where I have spent many years on sourcing quality products.

It seemed to me, perfect sense to utilise my sourcing skills to fill a particular need in the UK for low cost, high quality uniforms that are delivered on time and correct."

Special production

Martin has set up a specialised production facility in Hong Kong to service uniform requirements of UK and European bands, but at overseas pricing.

Meeting requirements?

He believes that the business model he has created meets the requirements of the 21st banding movement — high quality fabrics and production, with a low cost base and the low overhead benefit of overseas production, combined with exceptional customer service and guaranteed lead times.

He concluded: "It will be our pleasure to dress your band to the very highest standard and to the very best of our ability. I look forward to discussing your requirements with you and ensuring we deliver to you fantastic new uniforms at a price that will make your treasurer very happy!"
