4BR has been informed that Durham County Brass Band Association has taken the sad decision to cancel its forthcoming Association Grading Contest due to have taken place on Saturday 5th December due to the severe weather conditions in the North East.

Meanwhile, the weather has also started to play havoc with early Christmas concerts, with NASUWT Riverside the first to cancel their annual event which was to have been held on the same day at the Riverside Cricket Ground.

It is hoped that another date in the calendar will be found as soon as possible.
