For the third consecutive year, Foden's Band has claimed the British Bandsman ‘CD of the Year' award.

'A World Within' featuring the music of the band’s composer in residence Andy Scott and conducted by Mike Fowles found favour with the panel of judges comprising Tim Mutum, Frank Renton and Paul Hindmarsh.
Eikanger Band's 'Romeo and Juliet' release was placed second with Black Dyke's 'Red Priest' CD third.
Honoured
Speaking about the award Mark Wilkinson told 4BR: “The band are honoured to have won the award. We are very fortunate to have a 'Composer in Residence' of the quality of Andy Scott who has brought a new dimension to brass band writing.”
He added: "The band have a close working relationship with Andy which has produced a number of exciting commissions with further new works planned. We have a number of exciting recording projects planned for 2011 which will be announced in due course."
