Windcorp retains title to gain European qualification for Montreux.

The Windcorp Band, under the direction of Garry Cutt, retained its Swedish Championship title in Värnamo last weekend.

A duo of confident performances of the newly commissioned set test, 'Highlands and Lowlands', by Magnus Hylander and of Hermann Pallhuber's 'Titan's Progress' gave the reigning champion the title for a second successive year ahead of debutants Öresund Brass. Stockholm Brass was third.
