The Drighlington Band recently led the musical tributes to the legendary organist Arnold Loxam, who died in March at the age of 93.
The band performed in a concert which was widely reported on local BBC television news.

Arnold lived in Drighlington and had performed on the Wurlizer organ in many theatres and on radio for well over 50 years.

The concert was held in front of a full and appreciative audience at the Victoria Hall in Saltaire, and featured the band along with David Lowe, Joe Marsh and Mary Ann Wooton on the Wurlitzer.
During their programme Drighlington band played an arrangement by Graham Cole of one of Arnold's compositions, 'Sunset over Morecambe Bay'.
