The disqualification of the Blackley Band from the recent Fourth Section competition at the Pontins Brass Band Festival has been confirmed.

Oversight

4BR has been informed that due to a registration error, the band has subsequently been disqualified from the contest. It is understood that the band has accepted responsibility for the oversight and the post contest decision by the event organisers.

The band was originally placed 10th in the Fourth Section. The official result of the contest will be amended accordingly.
