Current Brass in Concert Champion, Foden's has announced that trumpet virtuoso John Wallace has accepted their invitation to conduct the band at the forthcoming Brass in Concert Contest at the Sage, Gateshead.

John will also conduct the band at the pre contest Gala Concert on Saturday night.

The Principal of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD) since 2002, the Scotsman is a highly respected educator and conductor as ell as being regarded as regarded as one of the worlds leading trumpet players. He was awarded an OBE for services to music in 1995 and is presently Chair of Conservatoires UK.
