New home for Hammonds

Hammonds Saltaire move to a new home.

Hammonds

Hammonds Saltaire Band has moved from their home for the last two years in Huddersfield to a new bandroom in Elland, near Halifax.

First rehearsal

Moving a library of 2,500 pieces plus all of their instruments, uniforms, photos and other memorabilia took most of last weekend, but after a busy two days they enjoyed their first rehearsal on Monday amid their new surroundings.

The band is now based above a company called ‘Sound and Vision’ on Gas Works Lane in Elland.

We would like to thank David Armitage of Sellers Engineering who has provided us with a home for the last two yearsHammonds Saltaire Band

Thanks

A spokesperson told 4BR: "We would like to thank David Armitage of Sellers Engineering who has provided us with a home for the last two years. We have had to move out as the site where Sellers is currently based will be demolished in the near future to allow Kirklees Council to build there.

Sellers will be moving to a new site and we wish them all the best in their new home."
