Results: LBBA Solo Contest

There was a fantastic turn out of players at the recent Leicestershire BBA Solo Contest.

LBBA

Groby Community College in Leicester was the venue recently for the Leicestershire Association’s Solo, Duet and Quartet Competition.

Good company

Young trombonist Rosie Glossop from Shirland Band led the way, claiming victory in the '11 and under' category. Rosie was in good company with her Shirland peer Lewis Squires winning the overall 'Junior Champion' title, having scored the most points overall across all sections, including 'Slow Melody', 'Air Varie' and 'Sight Reading' sections.

There was an impressive turnout of competitors, particularly in the younger age groups, with the youngest competitor only eight years of age.
