The Borders Slow Melody Contest took place recently with a fine turn out of competitors.

The Borders Slow Melody Contest recently took place in Selkirk, where a fine turn out of young players enjoyed themselves in competition.

Chairman Graham Borthwick told 4BR: "The contest was a great success once again and it was a delight to see so many young players coming forward through all the various bands and schools. They were without exception, a credit to their respective instructors."
