The Scottish Brass Band Association will be holding its Conductor’s Course in Perth on the weekend of Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th October.
Delegates
Delegates will enjoy the experience of working with leading band composers, conductors and performers, such as Philip Sparke, Dr Roger Webster, Ian Porthouse and Frank Renton, over two days of intensive practical sessions with the help of the Kirkintilloch Band and members of the National Youth Band of Scotland.
Topics
Topics to be covered will include rehearsal methodology, conducting technique, performance psychology, presentation, score reading and composition, adjudication and working with youth bands.
There will also be ample opportunity for delegates to question course speakers in discussion groups and open forums.
