Desford are enjoying teaming up with Garry Cutt for their National assault on the weekend.

Desford Colliery Band has informed 4BR that they are delighted to have been able to team up with conductor Garry Cutt for their assault on the National at the Royal Albert Hall this weekend.

No stranger

Garry is no stranger to the band, having taken Desford on past tours to the Far East, whilst a past appearance at an earlier Mineworkers contest saw him lead them to an impressive seven points victory.

The former Foden’s and Grimethorpe MD is looking forward to renewing his musical partnership with the band too: "I'm really enjoying working with Desford again," he said. "I have nothing but happy memories of past visits."
