Amy Leitch is the principal cornet of Third Section contenders Kilmarnock Concert Brass, as well as being the daughter Derek Leitch, who just happens to be the principal cornet of fellow finalists Irvine & Dreghorn.

Not only that – Kilmarnock’s solo euphonium, Lorna Mason, will also be competing against her brother, David Mason, principal euphonium for London and South Counties finalist Betteshanger Welfare and his wife Isla Mason who plays solo horn — both of whom are former Kilmarnock Concert Brass members.
