As part of the World of Brass Radio programme running from 24th September John Maines will be interviewing Dr Nicholas Childs about the forthcoming release of his new book, 'A Decade Beating Time', which chronicles his 10 year tenure at Black Dyke.

The interview hears the band’s Principal conductor talk about his pictorial diary of his period at the helm of the Queensbury band and offers a fascinating insight into the inspiration behind the book from world premieres to the impression Black Dyke’s achievements made on Sir Alex Ferguson.
