Welsh Open gains council support

The Welsh Open Entertainment contest has been given a financial boost.

4BR has been informed that the Welsh Open Entertainment Championship has gained valued vital financial support from the Porthcawl Town Council to help with their staging of the 20011 event.

Grown in stature

At a time when local authorities in Wales are facing hard financial choices, the support is an indication of the value the council places on an event that has grown in stature over the last decade or more.

This is a real boost for the contest and means we can continue to attract the very best bands from Wales and beyondRob Gowing
