The Langley Band has been given a helping hand by Garry Cutt as they prepare for Harrogate.

As part of their preparation for the Lower Section finals in Harrogate on the weekend, the Midlands First Section champion Langley welcomed Garry Cutt for a weekend of intensive rehearsal on the set work, 'Diversions on a Bass Theme'.

MD Cliff Parker and his band are hoping to replicate the success they enjoyed back in March, following a busy six months of concert activity.

Scale of challenge

Band Chairman Rob Simmonds told 4BR: "It was wonderful that Garry found time in his busy schedule to come back to the Black Country and help us with our preparations once again.

"The band have put a lot of work in over the summer months, but this is the finals and no one is in any doubt about the scale of the challenge. We’re all really looking forward to it."
