Thre is no doubt it seems that supporting local and national charities is a vital part of the work of the Elland Silver Band organisation, after they stepped in to rescue a concert in aid of the Halifiax branch of the Marie Curie Cancer Care support group.

Step in

The band had been booked to perform the concert at Halifax Minster next month under MD, James Shepherd, but due to organisational problems at the charity the event was to be cancelled.

However, Elland were determined that such a great charity should benefit for any proceeds they could raise, and so they stepped in to support the event themselves.
