After the lull of the August holidays the contest season has got back into full swing, with plenty of Autumnal dosh won by bands.
No change
There is no change at the top of the 2010 leader board however, as Fairey (Geneva) keep impressing their local bank manager by depositing yet more cash into their current account – this time another £2,000 at the British Open to take their savings close to £15,000.
The other big depositor however is the other form band of the season, Tredegar, who made it six out of seven wins by claiming the British Open title and the £3,000 top prize at Symphony Hall.
They now have close to 10 grand in the bank and move from 6th to 3rd place overall.

Movers
Black Dyke move up three places thanks to their podium finish in Birmingham, whilst Cory drop one place despite coming fourth. Foden’s (up 3 places) and Rothwell (down 1) also put some extra money in the piggy bank too.
New entrants
Two new bands enter the list after the Land O Burns contest in Troon, with Johnstone Silver’s remarkable win bagging them £2,800 to shoot them into 18th place, whilst Whitburn may well rue the balance between an extra £1,000 won at Troon against the loss of their British Open place at Birmingham.
New few weeks
Over the next few weeks there is a healthy payout to be gained at Wychavon and the Lower Section National finals in Harrogate, the Bolsover Festival and then the Royal Albert Hall in London.
