Fairey open the doors for Open test

The English National champion Fairey (Geneva) is opening the doors ahead of their British Open challenge this weekend.

The current English National champion Fairey (Geneva) will be holding a pre-contest open rehearsal of Peter Graham's, 'On the Shoulders of Giants' this Thursday (2nd September) at the Plaza Theatre in Stockport.

The rehearsal starts at 7.30pm and admission is free.

It will give fans the first glimpse of their new principal cornet player too, with the news of the arrival of Iain Culross4BR

It will give fans the first glimpse of their new principal cornet player too, with the news of the arrival of Iain Culross.

Having previously played for Carlton Main, Sellers and YBS Band, he recently picked up the award as 'Best Principal Cornet' with Blackburn & Darwen Band at the Land O' Burns contest in Scotland.

Also joining in time for the Open are Tanya Furness on 2nd cornet and Jim Henson on Eb bass.

April 3 • We have vacancies for a trombone player and a bass player. Cleethorpes Band rehearse near the seafront on Thursday and Sunday evenings. Placed 3rd in the NOE 4th section. Other players are always welcome as we may be able to switch positions around
