After several years of being known as Wrexham Brass (NEWI), the north walian band has now changed its name to Wrexham Brass (Glyndwr)
Residence
The name change reflects the band’s current position as brass band in residence at the newly affiliated Glyndwr University (formally North East Wales Institute) which has its main campus in Wrexham.
The connection means that the band now play at graduation ceremonies and makes extensive use of the 800 seat William Aston Hall, with several concerts are planned in the theatre over the coming months
Busy summer
After a busy summer which has included several concerts and coming runner up at the National Eisteddfod of Wales, the band is currently busy preparing for the First Section National Finals and Pontins.
