The Shepherd Group Band is the second band to be approached by the BBC to take part in the making of Benjamin Till's 'A Symphony for Yorkshire' in celebration of the forthcoming Yorkshire Day.
Fab
The BBC recorded the band at their rehearsal facility where they were asked to play the closing bars of the final movement of the symphony.
Benjamin Till stated: "The band will be pleased, perhaps terrified, to know that they are playing the final notes of the entire symphony! That's my way of saying how fab I think they were!"

York Minster
The sound recording took place a few weeks ago before they were filmed the following week outside York Minster amid hundreds of site seers and tourists taking photographs, wondering why a brass band was outside York Minster!
The band and MD Richard Wilton were delighted to be asked to take part in the production and the programme will be broadcast on 1st August on the BBC Yorkshire radio stations and will be broadcast the following night on BBC Look North.
