Carlton Brass has announced the resignation of Musical Director, Walter Ritchie BEM.

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "Walter took charge of Carlton Brass over 4 years ago and has been a successful and popular MD, leading the band into the First Section for the first time in its history. Alongside many contest successes Walter has conducted many concerts, entertaining audiences across the East Midlands."

They added: "Carlton Brass would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Walter for all his dedication and hard work over the last 4 years."
