Record entry closes Bolsover doors

If you want to be part of a record entry at Bolsover, then get in fast — the doors are closing.

Bolsover

4BR has been informed that Bolsover District Council has been so overwhelmed with the response to their 2010 Festival of Brass that they are having to bring forward the closing date for entries.

A couple of months to go

Carole Crompton told 4BR: "This year’s entry has nearly doubled on last year’s which was in itself a record. We thought that by introducing a second venue we would be able to accommodate all those bands who were disappointed to miss out, but it seems that with still two months to go before the official closing date for entries, more bands may find themselves disappointed."
