The University of Salford has announced Professor Emeritus appointments to two distinguished former collegues.
Following his early retirement as a full time academic and Chair of Music Performance in September 2009, Professor David King was elected by his colleagues within the Department of Media, Music and Performance for a Professor Emeritus appointment.
Outstanding
The appointment is in recognition of his outstanding research, scholarly work, teaching and conspicuous service to the institution he has served with distinction for over 20 years.
Emeritus Professor King has spent 28 years in the UK and his international profile and career as an academic and leading figure in the world of band musicianship continues to develop through his continuing long association with the University of Salford.
