4BR at the English National

4BR will be at Preston all day bringing you the action as it unfolds — however brief...

English

The English National Championship takes place at Preston Guild Hall today (Saturday 26th June), and kicks off at 11.30am with the first of nine performances of John Pickard's fearsome 'Eden'.

Entertaining

It promises to be a highly entertaining, if all too brief, contest, and 4BR will be there to give you the news, views and opinions about the day and those all important performances, as the band's battle it out for the £4,000 top prize (with two grand of add ons).

The pre contest entertainment starts with a short concert from the Natural State Band from Arkansas, USA, at 10.15am.

Live coverage will be available on the 4BR site, with additional pithy comments on our 4BR Twitter site4barsrest.com

Hot, hot, hot

It's going to be hot, hot, hot, with the temperature on the rise both in and outside the hall, although the results and the destination of the 2010 title should be decided by around 4.30pm after a short concert from 2009 reigning champion, Black Dyke.
