English National changes

Further changes announced to running order of English National Contest at Preston.

There have been further changes to the running order of the English National Championship Contest in Preston next weekend.

4BR has been informed by the British Federation of Brass Bands that the Natural State Brass Band from the USA will now kick off proceedings with a short concert at 10.15am, with the contest now starting at 11.30am.

No comfort break

There will be no comfort break between any of the nine performances, and after the last band has played the 2009 champion Black Dyke will entertain the audience with short concert before the announcement of the results.

Tickets for the contest are still available at Preston Guild Hall priced at £15 and £10 for under 16s.
