The Brass in Ripon Contest was held at Ripon Cathedral at the end of May, and although might have been a bit miserable the atmosphere inside Ripon Cathedral certainly was not.

Entertainment

After an inspired performance, North Skelton, conducted by Rob Illsley, emerged as winners of the Ripon Festival Championship Rosebowl and £250 closely followed by the defending champions Ripon City with Clifton & Lightcliffe in third.

The quality of the soloists was particularly commended by the adjudicators4BR
