Proctor next to leave Foden's

Tuba player Gary Proctor is the latest player to leave Brass in Concert champions.

Fodens

Bb tuba player Gary Proctor is the third high profile player to announce his decision to resign from Foden's Band since the departure of former MD, Garry Cutt.

Gary joins fellow players Gavin Saynor and soprano star Alan Wycherley in announcing their departure from the current North West Area and Brass in Concert champion.

Commitment

Gary told 4BR: "I have recently been promoted at work and also my partner has just changed career, which means that I cannot give the band the 100% commitment that it requires and deserves."

He added: "I have found it continually difficult to get to rehearsals and concerts over the past few weeks, but did try to get to band as often as I could. I will also say that I was very surprised at the recent departure of Garry Cutt, who I have worked with for several years both at Foden's and Grimethorpe.

I have recently been promoted at work and also my partner has just changed career, which means that I cannot give the band the 100% commitment that it requires and deservesGary Proctor

Disappointed

Gary concluded: "This departure has made my decision that much easier, as I am very disappointed at the way he was treated on his dismissal, considering the bands continuing success since he joined the band as MD. May I take this opportunity to wish the band the very best for the future."
