The current Scottish Champion, Co-operative Funeralcare recently took part in a student recital performance in the Crawfurd Theatre at the Jordanhill Campus of Strathclyde University in Glasgow.
Recital
The band provided the accompaniment for euphonium player Iain McDonald who gave the recital as part of his BA Applied Music degree course. The band was conducted by MD, Michael Fowles.
The demanding programme for Iain consisted of eight well-known solos including works by Curnow, Horovitz and Rimmer.

The soloist was a pupil of the band’s principal euphonium player, Alison Bonnar, and gave his recital in front of a sizeable and enthusiastic audience consisting of relatives, friends, fellow students and band supporters.
