First outing
It was the quintet's first competitive outing and they told 4BR: "We are delighted at winning such an important competition. The overall standard was amazing, so this gives us a real boost as performers."
The quintet performed an original composition written by first year composer at RWCMD, David Harrington, called 'A Welsh Blessing', which drew inspiration from the beautiful surroundings of the college in Cardiff.
The students added: "We really enjoyed playing David's work and we hope to do more with him in the near future."
