Book launch for Kinneil

Unison Kinneil have put 150 years of history into their latest publication.

Kinneil

In 2008, Unison Kinneil Band celebrated 150 years of music making. To celebrate the anniversary a number of special events were held during the year, including the launch of their first CD.

Special book

However, the final part of their celebration sees the publication of a special book on the history of the band through the years.

Funding to assist us in this project was received from Awards for All and the Coalfields Regeneration Trust. The book was launched at the band's recent Annual concert in Bo’ness.

Some of the more humorous moments in the band’s history are detailed in the player’s recollections!4BR

History and memories

Written by Ruth Kelly, the book captures some of the history and memories of the band for future generations and shares with their supporters and the local community of Bo’ness some of the enthusiasm, dedication and highs and lows of banding.

Some of the more humorous moments in the band’s history are detailed in the player’s recollections!
