Leicestershire Co-op Snibston Band have handed out their annual awards.
Awards
The award as 'Most Improved Player', chosen by MD, Graham Jacklin, went to Sam Warner, who has made the transition from orchestral playing to brass bands with apparent ease, despite the need to learn to read in treble clef.
The 'Bandsman of the Year' went to the principal cornet Richard Capstack and Band Treasurer and trombone, Liz Barham.
Progress
Bethan Brown was awarded the Training Band’s 'Bandsman of the Year'. In making the award, Liz Barham, MD, told 4BR: "Bethan has made astonishing progress this year and represents a real asset to the training band and the organisation as a whole. She is going to make a fine player in the future."
