Langley pride

Langley burst with pride after winning Midlands Area title.

Langley

The Langley Band has told 4BR of their pride at their recent First Section Midlands Championship success at Bedworth on the weekend.

Proud of

Cliff Parker told 4BR: "I'm extremely proud of the band in overcoming the enormous difficulties of 'A Moorside Suite'. The piece is tremendously difficult to play well, and through hard work, dedication and effort put in by the players, and fantastic individual performances from the soloists, we achieved a performance we can rightly be proud of.

Terrific

Band Chairman Robert Simmonds added: "The whole band have been terrific over the past few weeks in rehearsing for this competition and I want to thank both Cliff Parker and all of the players for embracing the changes we have made to our contest preparation. A big thank you also to Gary Cutt for taking time out of his busy schedule and for his generous help."
