Silk Brass will be performing at this weekend's North West Regional Championships in Blackpool thanks to the help given to them by a host of people.

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Paul Andrews, Dave Holling, Jamie Meredith and Peter Christian for their time and effort over the last couple of months. Their help has been invaluable in ensuring that the we are ready for the Area Contest and have been able to fulfil a number of recent engagements."
