John Ludden set to get around in Parr.

Parr (Richardson Ltd) St Helens Band has announced the appointment of John Ludden as their new MD.

Former MD Russell Prescott has stepped down due to family reasons and work commitments and has moved to play flugel horn with the band.

John is a former player and conductor with Parr from 1989-2003 and returns accompnaied by his wife, Jo who joins on solo horn.

The band are very excited at the appointment and are looking forward to a long a happy future with himParr Band

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "John will be taking the band to the North West Area and hopefully beyond. The band are very excited at the appointment and are looking forward to a long a happy future with him."
