The Becontreee Band has announced that it will engage young conductor and trombonist, Adam Cooke, to lead their challenge at the London & Southern Counties 2nd Section Regional contest.

Following a string of recent promising performances, Becontree are hoping to improve further with Adam at the helm.

Adam told 4BR: "It’s a very exciting time for Becontree. They have a full compliment of dedicated players as well as some very talented soloists. Mixed with the ambition, and an eagerness to step things up a gear on the contest stage, they’re in good shape, and I’m looking forward to taking them to Stevenage."
