Results: North Wales Solo & Quartet

There was a fine turn out of performers in North Wales last weekend.

The North Wales Brass Bands Association held its annual Solo Duet & Quartet Contest at The Galeri in Caernarfon on 20th February.

Kept busy

Entries were a little down on previous years, but adjudicators Keith Jones and John Glyn Jones were kept busy throughout the day.

Before the results were announced a presentation was made to Jim Williams on his retirement as Chairman of the Association.

Tribute

Vice-Chairman Philip Copeman, paid tribute to Jim for his 31 years as Chairman and for his tireless work on behalf of the Association.

It was clear from the emotional response from the audience that Jim had been a very popular Chairman and everybody was pleased to hear that he will continue to play an important role in the Association. Jim is succeeded as Chairman by Dave Roberts of Point of Ayr.
