Two brass band conductors will be appearing at the Royal Albert Hall this week — although not quite in the usual way many would think.
Duo
Welsh conductor Craig Roberts and Manchester based composer Tim A. Duncan will be appearing at the iconic London venue with the Russian Imperial Ice Stars and their lavish new production of 'Cinderella On Ice'.
Former Besses o' th' Barn and Middleton Band tenor horn player, Tim will also conduct the live orchestra, while Craig will be on hand throughout as deputy MD4BR
Packed houses
Former bandsman Tim, along with writing partner Edward Barnwell, have composed the full score for the show, which has already played to packed houses worldwide before it opens this Wednesday for its five day run in London.
Former Besses o' th' Barn and Middleton Band tenor horn player, Tim will also conduct the live orchestra, while Craig will be on hand throughout as deputy MD.
Perc players
The duo have previously collaborated with the 'Ice Stars' on the production of 'Barnum On Ice'. Keen eyed audience members will also be able to spot some well known brass band instrumentalists and percussion players on hand throughout the performances too.
