It has been announced on the website of the British Federation of Brass Bands that Yorkshire challengers Brighouse & Rastrick has withdrawn from the English National Championships.

Withdrawn

The short anouncement simply states: "Regrettably Brighouse & Rastrick have withdrawn from the 2010 ENBBC."

Priorities

It goes on to state: "A spokesman for BR (Brighouse & Rastrick sic) said, "It is simply a matter of changing priorities".

The BFBB state that their place will be taken at the contest on 26th June by Wire Brass.
