Better late than never for Derwent as they hand out the awards — including the champers!

Derwent Brass has been handing out their awards for 2009 at their recent Annual General Meeting.

Awards

Various awards were presented, including the Derwent Brass 'Champagne Moment', which went to principal cornet player Dave Neville, to commemorate his stunning performances of the solo arrangement of 'Silent Night'.

The 'Bandperson of the Year' was presented to flugel player Pam Davis.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Derwent is feeling very positive about 2010 as we work towards both the Area contest and Senior Cup."
