Kiveton Park Festival

Details are announced of the second Kiveton Park Brass Band Festival.

 

The second Kiveton Park Brass Band Festival for 3rd/4th Section, Youth and Ungraded brass bands will take place in Kiveton Community Woodland on Sunday 18th July.

Organisers hope up to 12 bands will take up the chance to compete in the contest which was a great success in 2009.

Open air

Each band will be required to perform an entertainment programme of not more than 20 minutes and must include a hymn and a march. The contest will take place in a natural, open-air amphitheatre with no overhead cover or seating for spectators (bring your own umbrellas and chairs).

Admission for spectators is free, but there will be a £3 car parking charge per car.

Toilets, hot and cold refreshments, and a licensed bar will be available.
