Roberts set for Norway return

Rothwell MD set for Norwegian championship outing with Sandefjord Brass Symposium.

Rothwell Temperance MD, David Roberts, will be spending four weekends in Norway in the New Year as he starts preperations with former national champion Sandefjord Brass Symposium Band for the forthcoming Norwegian National Championships.

Dave received the offer to take the band after being recommended by Fodens conductor Garry Cutt, who had previously directed the band at the contest.

Dave has wanted to return to Norway as he lived there for a year studying an Manger Folkehogskule.

He told 4BR: "I'm really looking forward to seeing a lot of old friends on the finals weekend in Bergen."

The Championships take place on the 5th and 6th of February.
