The Newhall Band has been celebrating a rare double triumph after it won second prize in its section at the recent Leicestershire contest — their second trophy in as many weeks.

The Leicestershire Brass Bands Association contest was held at Loughborough and Newhall played the same piece that had won them first place at Leamington a week earlier — 'Music for a Festival' by Philip Sparke.
