4BR has been informed that Bandmaster Brian Keachie of the Govan Citadel Band of The Salvation Army, will relinquish his position on 20th December, following the band's last engagement of 2009. Brian has been Bandmaster for the last three years.

Band Secretary, Colin McFarlane told 4BR: "The band would place on record their thanks and appreciation for his hard work and leadership in that time. We look forward to Brian resuming his place in the Band."

The new Bandmaster will be appointed in due course.
