York Railway Institute Band has announced the appointment of Gordon Eddison as their new Musical Director.

Wealth of experience

Gordon has a wealth of experience and has played with many top UK bands, including Black Dyke, YBS and Carlton Main. On the contesting stage Gordon has conducted the Queensbury Band and enjoyed success with the Elland, and most recently with Otley Brass at the Hardraw Brass Festival, a non-registered band he continues to conduct with distinction.

Anticipation

Gordon states he has a feeling of anticipation and excitement at the new challenge of conducting York Railway, and is very aware of their long traditions of musical excellence. He hopes to make a very strong challenge at the forthcoming Northern Area Championships in March.
