Gwent Youth Festival 2010

Organisers announce details for 2010 event.

The annual Gwent Youth Brass Band Festival will take place on January 30th next year at Coleg Gwent, Crosskeys Campus.

Sections

There will be three competitive sections with Section 3 for Junior/Training Bands. Bands in Sections 1 and 2 will be allowed to play seven adults and there will be trophies and prize monies to the winning bands and trophies to the Best Soloists and Youngest Players.

Section 3 bands will play an entertainment programme up to 15 minutes whilst Section 1 & 2 bands will play an entertainment programme to a maximum of 20 minutes playing timeOrganisers

A total of 22 youth bands took part from all over the UK.

Banks Brass Band

February 25 • It's not too late to join Banks Brass Band, a friendly non-contesting band near Southport. All players welcome particularly euphoniums, trombones and basses. Rehearsals: Mondays 8.00-9.30pm in the Hub@Banks community centre, PR9 8BL
