Spaces limited on scabba tromb workshop

Brett Baker will head the latest scaba workshops — and there are just a couple o fplaces left to fill.

Brett Baker, Principal Trombone of Black Dyke Band will be leading a scaba workshops, and ensemble sessions and a recital on Sunday in the Cranleigh Bandroom, Village Way, Cranleigh, which runs beside Cranleigh Village Hall.

A few spaces left

There are a small number of spaces left to guarantee places on the ensemble sessions.

Andy Wilson is responsible for the organisation of the Workshop and can provide details. He can be contacted on 07904 910848.

Insight

Brett told 4BR: "The aim is to provide players with an insight into not only solo playing but playing in a trombone section and also trombone ensembles using some interesting and enjoyable repertoire."

Anyone wishing to also play a solo at the workshop should also contact Any Wilson quickly to secure a solo spot.

Blowout

The day will include a massed blow, a trombone recital of new and interesting repertoire for the solo trombone and advice on recording, tricks of the trade, playing in a section, a masterclass, a question and answer session and finally a mass blowout!
