Butlins announce test piece errata

There are a few changes ahead of Butlins on the test pices — only small changes though

The Butlins National Mineworkers Championship organisers have announced a few errata on their test pices for January.

Second Section: Folk Music

1st Movement:
Fig 9 - Timpani should be marked ‘Subito mp’
Bar 31 — Soprano 1st note should be’ F#’

3rd Movement:
Bar 241 — Solo Cornet: Quaver ‘C’ move to 3rd beat of bar as 1st Baritone part.
Bar 259 — Euphs and Basses: Quaver to be played on the 3rd beat of bar.
Bar 285 — Solo Cornet: Change to match the Euphonium part.
Bar 287 — 2nd Horn: Change minim ‘E’ to second line ‘G’.


Fourth Section: Roman Triptych

When this was used for the 4th Section National Finals an errata was issued.

On announcement of the music’s use for the Butlins Mineworkers Contest 2010 these corrections were made to the originals and all newly printed sets were corrected.
