A recent concert of the Dunaskin Doon Band saw the band celebrate 140 years of existence as well as honour two of its longest serving players.

Service

After the concert which featured the brilliant talents of trombonist Peter Moore, Gus Cochrane and WillieYoung were presented with Scottish Brass Band Association medals for their distinguished service, which has seen both men log up close to 60 years active involvement in the band.

Both men have held various administrative posts in the Dunaskin organisation as well as remaining active players.
