Yorkshire Co-op clock up air time

Yorkshire Co-op to lend a musical hand to England as they take on the Aussies.

For the second time in as many months the Yorkshire Co-op Band will be performing live on television as it performs the National Anthems with singer Jonathon Ansell of G4 fame for the 'Four Nations' Rugby League Final between England v Australia.

Old Trafford

Just last month the band performed with All Angels at the Super League Grand Final, televised on Sky TV in front of a crowd of 65,000 in the stadium at Old Trafford.

Tabby Clegg told 4BR: "The band has spent some time re-establishing and re-building itself over the past few years and is now looking forward to a fun and positive future under MD Simon Kerwin."

The band has also welcomed new players including Phil Bracegirdle and Jerram Stead on euphonium and Matt Bell, Nick Bamforth, James Dickinson and Sam Mulliner on bass.
